Sleep number actually has better ratings than temperpedic from independent reviews.
Like I said before. Spend the time finding your sleep number by starting high and lowering it 5pts every few days until you find youre comfortable level, then bump it up 1 setting.
At least that's what worked for me.

I need a firm bed, so I chose the firm'est bed I could find with a memory foam pillow top sew'd in. It was like the top of the line at Matress Firm about $1500.00. Best sleep I have ever got on this Mattress. I actually discovered it in a Hilton Hotel resort. Looked under the sheets and bought one when I got home.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

Do you put twin sheets on the bottom and king on top?

All I know is that the sleep number beds at the Hilton Garden Inn are like sleeping on concrete.
We have a Restonic memory foam king size, and we love it. It's softer than the Tempurpedics we tried, and ran us about $2700, I think. We set out to find the softest quality mattress we could find, and this was what we found. I'm 325 lbs, and it has held up great for 4 years.
It supposedly has the cool temp technology, but I still get hot sometimes. I guess that's the only draw back.
