We chose 24 months interest-free, and they go up to 48 months if you want it.

People think nothing of buying a $2000 sofa or dining table they use at Xmas or Thanksgiving, but skimp on something they use 6 hours (or more) every night of their lives. I was (am) the same way. The main thing to keep in mind is that everybody is different and it's important to try out as many as possible. My bed may not work for a lot of folks, and they may not need to spend near as much to sleep well.

We have a king Temperpedic that we bought in 2008 and I can say it sleeps great. However, there is no spring or bounce to it so it makes sex a little more of a workout. There is that, and the fact that if you get hot when you sleep the foam pad absorbs, holds and radiates that heat back at you.

Never owned a sleep number, how is the bounce?
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

we do not notice any bounce. some one said it was like a old water bed and they are full of shit IMO nothing like that. The guy did tell us when he set it up to air it up every morning but we do not do that we just leave it alone andn sleep on it. You can adjust the softness but it is not like a fluffy soft.

5k deep in ours with all the extras, not the best money spent but my wife and I do agree we sleep better then before. Be sure to get the higher end with more pillow top. We have had no issues with the air other then remembering to check every few weeks. They should be covered under warranty as well for deflating. I bet we spent 5+ hours in the store deciding.

We have one of the original sleep number beds and they have come a long way. We love ours, my wife had back surgery 8 months ago and her only saving grace was our bed.

I haven't had the heat issue, but the house stays cool all the time. My pillow always seems cool and it's the same material.

Try a memory foam topper first. They are pretty darn firm and hold heat. I have a 4" topper, still on the fence about it

Been reading them, lots of bad reviews. Iknow my sister paid close to $5k for this bed. It is called a king, but all it is, is two completely independent twins you push together. I have had the mattresses aired up for five days, still holding.
