With the prices I was looking at and adding in monthly HOA dues, and financing being so low right now, the numbers just didn't make sense to get a condo. I would have ended up paying almost the exact same price for a house, and not had a 2 car garage. This should work out well. It needs some updates, but it doesn't need to be gutted like my last house did.
