The plain leathers that you can polish are my favorites. The ostrich is soft, but easy to scuff. I have a pair of lizzard that are nice too,but nothing like the Anderson Beans. But,just my opinion, and opinions are like assholes........everyone has one and they are all different.
Very well said. I get a lot of people wanting nothing but AB's but, we are a smaller volume store and don't carry a huge selection of them at our location. I've found that you typically have a foot that fits best in a certain kind of boot, due to their construction. There are a lot of limiting factors, a lot of which come into play because of the height of the tops and that you have to make a "turn" to get your foot down into the boot. Some just allow more room than others.

Again, anyone looking to make a purchase and want some help, insight, etc. Drop me a PM

I was about to add Anderson Bean. By far the best two pairs of boots I own. These blow any pair of Ariat boots I've worn in the past out of the water.

My problem with Ariat is they're Chinese made. My Justin boots are comfy and the money I spend on them stays closer to home, which is important to me.

Most of the Justin work boots are made overseas. I checked mine a while back, both my workboots were but my crepe FQ Ostrich were made in USA.

Edit: I see some of you guys posting up square toed boots, nothing screams douche bigger than that, IMO.

Here are the boots I own. http://www.tonylama.com/en/guys_west...424fccf8=CT833

Right on. He's just wrong about square toes, and he's living in the wrong town to be so wrong about square toes.

I'm a bit traditional, soooooooooooooo. If you don't like the way a traditional toe "squeezes" your toes, buy a wider boot. You'll never catch me in a pair of square toes. Ever.

square toes have been around for much, much longer than pointed toes have been. This country was founded by people wearing square toed shoes.

Nothing screams "I stereotype to the fullest" than judging someone on whether they prefer round or square toe boots.

I have these: Men's Quickdraw 11" Boot - Chocolate Elephant Print
I like them, but they aren't so comfortable after 4-5 hours in them.

I also have a pair of Rocky Boots, that look like these Ariats (couldn't find my boots as they are 5-6 years old) Narrow square pointy toe
These are good all day boots with a good sock.

But these - Redwing Pecos, waterproof/steel toes are the best boot I've ever owned.
Good for all day/night, comfortable, breathable, waterproof, the works. All around an excellent boot. Just not so fancy for shit kickin at the honky tonk

General rule of thumb, Rubber sole, made over seas, leather sole, hand made in America. The Justin Original Workboots are still made in America, but they more they go to the cheaper boots, the more they outsource. The only manufacturer I can pull off the shelf (work and casual) and know no matter which boot it is, that it is made in America, is Double H.

Your exotic boots, and "american" named boots with "hand crafted" leather soles are still made in America. Ariat, is an exception to the rule, their exotics and leather soled boots are all made in China as well

                                black2002ls,

If you can get me a deal on some Black Rattlesnakes in a 13E, I'll drive to Greenville and buy them from you.

I've been on the hunt for a good old pinche snake skins for a while now. I know Cavendars sells Cowtowns in rattlesnake, but I can't seem to find them in my size
