Double H has a new line of Bison hide boots. They are as tough if not more tough than bullhide, a very soft leather, and they are all made in America. Only Brand boot on my shelf I know when I pick one up, I don't have to worry about the customer cringing when they see made in China. They don't really polish up, they make them in a dark chocolate almost black color, and then a lighter chocolate brown with a tan top. One of my best selling boots since It came out.

I guess I need to post up in the "hook up" thread. I'm a bit out of the way, but I can typically manage 10-15% off of your entire purchase depending on the merchendise

I've been a pretty big supporter of Ariat. In the past 4-5 years I haven't worn anything other than that. Their square toe boots fit me real well and I really like the ergonomics of their ATS technology. Really works well for me. I wear them all day, every day.

Ariat has some of the best comfort and quality. Their soles and inserts are designed more like the construction of a tennis shoe than they are a boot (save for the outer sole) Long wearing rubber for the outer soles helps. I wore a pair of roughstocks for 3-4 years and I think my little brother is still wearing them 2 years later. Ever since my back surgery, I've had to move to the softer crepe sole boots. The impact of a stacked leather heel, or heavy work type rubber sole has cause me some added discomfort. Ariats Quantum Cobalt technology is pretty good too. A step above the ATS system, a little more cushion/comfort, though with the dress boots it only comes on the more expensive lines of boots, I know their square toe full quill has it. You can also substitute their Quantum Cobalt inserts in place of the ATS inserts, I find them to have a bit nicer cushion.

Right next to your Bentley on swangers and vogues.

Mine are no slip, and steel toe. I'm on constructions sites nearly every day, and the no slip is a must when in and out of restaurant kitchens, because the floor is usually covered in grease.

That said, I do ride horses and drive tractors. You dick.

My Ariats look great and are fairly comfortable but I don't wear boots as often as I used to so they aren't very well broken in. I retired my red wings to ranch duty since they are beat to hell. But they are easily the most comfortable I've owned

I wear Ariat Roughstock everyday to work and they are very comfortable. Holding up very well. My only complaint is they are loud. People can hear me coming from a mile a way no matter how slow or soft I try to walk.

I've got a pair of Tony Lama full quill ostrich boots in black, they are the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned, they show dirt easily though.

Edit: I see some of you guys posting up square toed boots, nothing screams douche bigger than that, IMO.

Here are the boots I own. http://www.tonylama.com/en/guys_west...424fccf8=CT833

When y'all say "comfortable".... does this compare to a good pair of New Balance tennis shoes? I've never owned a pair but have always kinda wanted some. I just don't see how something with a leather bottom and no padding can be comfortable.

They probably aren't as comfy as new balance....but they are super damn close. I can wear them 10-12 hrs a day(and I'm on my feet al day for work) and they don't bother me at all

Everyone who has bought that pair of Double H's loves them! Not sure where you are at, but if you make it out this way, stop in and see me!

I was wondering if you went with a Lucchese or something else! Glad you like them!

They will be nothing like wearing a pair of NB's The sheer weight difference, well depending on the tennis shoe, is enough to notice. Once you break them in, they aren't bad, there is a little more shock, due to the construction. The heels on leather sole boots are stacked leather with a hard rubber heel cap to extend wear. I've had some guys have a stacked crepe put in place of the leather heel and it does a lot for the impact. The best thing about a pair of leather sole boots, you may spend anywhere from $200 to $12,000+ on a pair of boots, but as long as the manufacturer has a re-sole program, or you know a good cobbler/leather worker you can have the soles re-placed for years. I've got guys have been wearing the same pair of boots for decades. The biggest thing with fit, is to make sure you understand how they are supposed to fit, and get some help. An ill fitting boot will KILL your feet. I typically go up 1/2 size and add a cushion insole from ariat to help out with comfort. If you are looking for a dress boot, look for a soft skin, bison, full quill/smooth ostrich etc. If forms to your foot easier. My AQHA's feel about like a pair of slippers

Anderson Bean with leather sole, wood pegs in the shank area and NO FOAM RUBBER on the insole. Just the old fashioned rounded toe with the double stitched welted sole. Been wearing boots since 1961, and have tried them all. I have Nocona, Justin, Tony Llama and one pair of Ariat that I seldom wear. I have cow hide, full quill ostrich, kid shin and calf skin. The plain leathers that you can polish are my favorites. The ostrich is soft, but easy to scuff. I have a pair of lizzard that are nice too,but nothing like the Anderson Beans. But,just my opinion, and opinions are like assholes........everyone has one and they are all different.
