First off, she had to answer the door. So it wasn't unlocked. Second off, the doorbell is always at the back door. And last, what thief rings the fucking doorbell, to a door that's unlocked, if his intention is robbing the place? Your brain, dude. Sometimes it no worky...


EDIT: Maybe my brain is no worky. I read that entirely different than you did. Restaurants always have a doorbell at the back door, so people can ring it for deliveries. That's where my train of thought was.

I think it is pretty amusing that Arby's new commercials target Subway about their "liquid" meat being sliced right there in the store versus Subway's sliced at the factory. Just imagine how much fresher that makes the meat sludge!!!

The LP side of me says, "It's awfully coincidental that there was someone casing the store and happened to rob them the night that there was only one person in the store." The article also stated that this is the third time it's been robbed, and there have been no camera or security system installations. My brain automatically goes to the thought of, "Was this a convenient set-up?"

When I worked in small stores in the mall, we only had one closer. BUT there was a bank drop in the mall, and we had access to off duty officers who were always willing to walk us to the drop box and on to our cars. The large corporate stores I worked at most recently had policies that forbade employees from closing alone. In the event of an emergency, we were to call the district manager and follow protocol, which included stashing the deposit and leaving a message with the accounting department explaining that the drop was to be made in the morning.
