Facebook Sucks

My news feed lately has mostly been showing posts from people I barely know, never talk to, have never replied or liked one of their posts, never looked at their profile, and have zero interest in what they are posting about. I've gone through and unsubscribed from several, but it's the same pattern over and over. Meanwhile, I'm not seeing posts anymore from people I used to reply to, whose posts I've liked, etc. I've read about the edge rank formula, and it seems to be working opposite of the way it was intended.

Have many of you actually gone through your friends list one by one and subscribed and unsubscribed each person so your feed does what you want? That seems like a beating. Is there a way to automatically subscribe to everyone and then just unsubscribe the ones you don't care to see?

I don't post a lot, I use it to keep up with old friends from High School, and some business marketing. I try to unsubscribe from all of the junk, or woe is me posters who are merely acquaintances, it tends to help. But I have noticed the same thing. Especially when utilizing the mobile app

All I ever see are posts from some random person I went to high school with talking about their kid's new haircut, or some uncle I haven't talked to in a decade posting about how awesome Mitt Romney is. WTF?

I don't take it all that seriously. I have funny friends, so I read it for the humor. It's just that lately, I don't see their posts. I know they're posting shit because my gf will be like "Did you see that hilarious post by so-and-so?" and I'll be like "No, I sure didn't, where is my sandwich?".
