While I have never agreed with his political views, we have lost another true American hero, a WWII veteran of 35 missions over Germany as a B-24 pilot. If you are a student of American Military History and have not read the book "The Wild Blue" written by Stephen Ambrose I encourage you to do so. It can be found in Half Price Books or Amazon.
As several threads have pointed out over the last couple of years, we are losing our WWII vets. These men took on the most powerful armies ever assembled and kicked their asses back to where they came from.
