Freebirds opening in Arlington

Like Eric said, there has been one in Arlington for years. I dont see what the big deal is, I have tried it more than once and I still prefer Chipotle.

Deffinetly more choices at Freebirds though.

No, Chipotle at one time had McDonalds as a majority investor, but was never actually owned by McDs. The wikipedia article doesn't mention it, but I read something recently that McD's was pushing Chipotle to use some of the same shit ingredients as McDs in order to increase profit. At that point, both parties decided it would be best to part ways. Not sure how much truth there is in that, but it was printed in an United Airlines magazine I think.

I like Freebirds because they have a better vareity than Chipotle (Cayenne tortilla!), but I like Chipotle's pico, salsas, and chips better. Chipotle are also a lot easier to find when traveling....

There were some other issues as well, but yes, that's true, and was one of the main reasons. McD's wanted to lower food cost to maximize profits, and they split ways.
