    98 had the updated interior and quad doors, but could have the 53 block. Only ever heard of ONE cracked 12v block though. I've had three 53 block 98's with zero issue.

    97 is a close second as it has hydroboost and the canister fuel filter housing

    96 started the better (higher power potential) injection pumps and moved the top ring land down though 94/95's aren't exactly known for melting pistons

    I've never owned a 94/95, would much rather have 96-98, but I wouldn't kick one out of the driveway for leaking oil

    let it be known that I just bought a '97 a couple weeks ago
