What kind of stuff should can we bring back from Mexico? Katrina said she saw someone had some giant bottles of liquor down there that they brought back

There is a Tequilaria right on the strip in San Miguel, you can't miss it really. If you want to walk a few blocks into town there is a wholesale liquor place that's a lot cheaper than on the strip but options are limited. Just walk the strip and see what interests you, most of it is like Trader's Village but there are some legit cool things to do there.

Or look for a pub crawl, those are fun. I usually just finish drinking at Margaritaville.

Never taken a cruise, but I've been there the last two summers on dive trips. How many kids and how old are they?

There are a few places like Mr. Sancho's along that stretch of beach that are pretty neat. Cozumel doesn't really have a ton of nice beaches, so this is probably your best bet. If you're wanting to explore the Mayan ruins you could rent a car and drive down there. There are a few restaurants on some nice beaches on the east side of the island. These beaches are bigger for the most part, but there is less for children to do other than swim. Here are the only 2 I can remember by name on the west side.

Between those beaches and El Centro is Chankanaab Park. There is a place there where you could take the kids to swim with dolphins.

I haven't been on the pirate ship, but I've seen them out and about. The kids would probably love that if they're old enough, and the adults will be amazed by the clear water and fish, turtles, etc. swimming around.

If you don't do an all-inclusive beach resort like Mr. Sancho's, there is some AMAZING food in town, and all within walking distance.

Just off the top of my head:
Casa Denis- Make sure someone gets the Cochinita Pibil. It will blow your mind.
Kinta- Only a little over a year old. I've been both years and it's awesome. It's modern and really good, so it's a little more expensive than other options. The grilled shrimp and the seafood enchiladas were awesome.
Pancho's Backyard- Great food at a great price. Snag a bottle of their Mexican vanilla to bring back for baking.
Al Pie de Carbon- Great burger the first year. One of the best steaks I've ever had the second year.
Wet Wendy's- Huge frozen margaritas. Try the Elvis. I don't know how peanut butter works in a margarita, but it's amazing. I've never had the food, but it smells great and people really like it.
El foco- Just a taco joint. Lots of great tacos to choose from.

just got back last saturday from the carnival triumph ship. went to progresso and cozumel.

if you both drink coke buy one card and have that person get 2 at a time. if you want to do excursions wait till cozumel. we read alot of reviews and talked to a couple others that went and progresso is supposed to be a wast unless you want to go to the ruins.

you can bring your own liquor just pack it in you check in luggage.

Take a case of water. Empty out the middle bottles and replace with ur favorite clear beverage of choice.

It worked for me. They did hold my checked bags and took my unopened mixers that I brought until the last night on the ship. Any liquor you buy they will hold it also until the last night.
