I would feel like such a cheap ass that I would probably be too embarresed to actually do it.

While not extreme, the girlfriend and I did the Walgreens and CVS deals. Buy a double paper or two on the weekend and spent 30 minutes clipping. We saved a shit ton of money, stocked up on enough toilet paper and shampoo for a couple years for next to nothing. Its kinda fun when you get into it.
My cousin just dropped off 8 boxes of Vicks sinus medicine. The walgreens deal this week was a $6 PROFIT. He got all the meds for FREE and make $6 in Walgreens bucks.

It's funny to watch the employees gather around the cashier to see what is coming up.
She mainly does CVS, Walgreens and Albertsons. The most impressive was just about a year ago when the total at Albertsons was $272 and something in change and she paid $80 even.
At first, it took up a lot of her time, but once she got on several email lists and facebook groups, it's literally a couple hours a week. She has held classes for it at church and showed several of her friends. Most yeild similar results.
That must be like the coupon setup of choice, I laughed my ass off when my wife was out buying "supplies" for couponing. It's crazy how quickly that became one of her hobbies.

I don't mind when someone uses a shit ton of coupons and price matching. If someone takes the time to do the research and put it all together, good for them.
But for everyone elses sake, don't do it on the day before Christmas, at the busiest time of the day.
I was behind a woman for 45 minutes with 2 carts full of food, with three or 4 different store adds for price matching. And 90% of her items were off those adds.
Sure, it is your right to save money, but stop waisting other peoples time.

Originally posted by Leah View PostThe way it works is that you get the stuff that is on sale AND use the coupon-sometimes making the item free. There were quite a few of those when I was doing it.

My daughters and I do this for the local food bank. Best haul... 48 boxes of Kellog's cereal for less than $5. All in all I'm guessing $600 worth of expense (we limit ourselves to $50 a month) a year plus time for well over $5,000 worth of food a year.

My wife consistently takes 25+ coupons to the store and makes out KILLER!

You're an ignorant sack of shit if you can't understand the difference between a coupon, and what he was doing. Not surprising though. You've never really been accused of being intelligent.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

She knew a newspaper carrier who would sell the coupon sections of the Sunday papers that didn't sell that week, for a quarter each. He only needed to turn in the headline page to get his money back, so it was definitely a win-win situation for everybody involved.Last edited by Pur Vnm; 12-31-2010, 12:43 PM.
