We do, too. There is very little tv time in our home. My kids also don't have unlimited access to the internet and cell phones. My oldest has a cell phone, but that thing is locked down like Fort Knox.

When she moved to live in a different school I would have either made her no longer have a facebook account or at least delete her old friends and start over completely. She seemed like she needed attention and was going about it the wrong way every time.

That used to be the definition of "bullying". Now, it's anyone or anything negative ever said about anyone. It's definitely an overused term.

I completely agree. I was bullied for awhile then got tired of it. I proceeded to beat the ever living snot out of the next kid who said or did anything. After that things were roses.

It actually works the same way for chicks. I've watched girl wreck another bitch and clear up a lot of other problems. The only way that these social tactics work is when you play into them. Life is hard, the sooner you learn that and stop looking for acceptance by everyone, the sooner you can put your big girl britches on.

It's sad, but it really doesn't sound like the classic case of bullying. It sounds more like she was let loose completely unsupervised and she made a long string of bad decisions for attention and "love." She was cam whoring in 7th grade, having sex with another girl's boyfriend in 8th or 9th grade? Did she expect to earn the respect of her peers?

Exactly. She was making horrible decisions, completely unsupervised. Nobody expects a kid at that age to make the right decisions, which is why nobody puts them in charge of important life altering situations!

I'm not saying that the girlfriend showing up with a posse of 15 girls is acceptable, but did she really not expect repercussions after knowingly sleeping with a guy with a girlfriend? "I thought he liked me" is not a valid excuse for a bad decision. Teenage boys "like" anything with a vagina.

Where were her parents? The real tragedy is that her family just moved her to a different school, rather than getting her the psychological help she needed--which was more than counseling and antidepressants.

The kid needed to back away from the fucking computer, instead of embracing the very thing which was creating her problems.

Hell I couldn't even have a TV in my room as a kid. That kept me out of there until bed time.

I got a TV in my room, when I was a teenager... after I went out and bought one.

I actually sat through her video. Four schools in 3 years. Her 2nd suicide attempt got her 2 days in the hospital and a prescription for antidepressants. Her parents definitely failed in being proactive and helping their daughter.

After the moving, I'd have pulled her internet without supervision and smashed the webcam. The computer would be in the living room on the coffee table where I could see everything and her facebook would have been deleted.
