Back then they would physically remove the hard copies of the records and hand them to you along with making it a class A misdemeanor for anyone to raise the issue once it was expunged. These charges never pop up anywhere but I did have an officer tell the father of a gal I was dating that I had killed someone and had to file a complaint with his department. The department took it seriously and I told them that a simple apology from the officer was all that was needed to resolve the issue.

Some charges from the early 90's that were expunged do pop up in the pay for back ground checks sites but not during a real TCIC or NCIC search. The private sites will remove them as soon as you notify them of the error. This is cause by the way they buy and process the information from the state.

I would be happy to assist anyone here in clearing their record but you can't expunge a conviction; only charges that were no billed, dismissals under certain circumstances, or outright acquittals are eligible. PM me for details.
im friends with lots of attorneys and theyve always said its like an act of god to get the fact that you were arrested off of your record. not that hard to get a dismissal off but the arrest is different. most probations for first offenses can even be taken off of the record pretty easily...

It doesn't matter if it was your 1st or 50th offense; if you did 1 single second under state supervision you can not under any circumstances get the records expunged. After September of last year they did change the law to make deferred probation charges eligible for expungement. They also changed the law to make you wait a year after the charge was dropped until you could file for an expungement hearing. You can also file for an order of non disclosure for older charges where deferred probation was the punishment. To get the arrest record wiped out you just need to know how to ask for that to be done; I know how to do it and have done it for myself and my friends many times.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

If the deferred probation was received before Sept. of last year it is not eligible for expungement. You can get an order of non dis-closer but the arrest will still pop up in the records. Class c misdemeanors can't be expunged either.
