Jester, you gotta stop making excuses for why things were bad before, or living in a fantasy world where our parents really had it any better. Until you accept things as they are and enjoy that, you'll never be happy.

I actually agree with DOHCTR on some of this. Despite him being young he makes good points. The only lack of credibility is the family money. However I'm not much older than him and grew up poor, but still agree. I had to work very hard to get here, and had to stick to a path.

Again, things are no worse than yesteryear. Accept that, be happy, find something meaningful to do.

I have had a good life but i look at what my kids are going to get and it fucking sucks! No more playing in the streets. no trick or treat door to door, we have to do this bullshit trunk or treat stuff. Make sure you are politically correct because we dont want to offend anyone. Yeah my Mom has acutally told me she really feels bad for my kids cause at least we can scrape something out of whats left or being held together in this Once Great Country we called American The Land of the Free doesnt see so free anymore. The goverment has got so big that its just a matter of time before they control every aspect of our lives. I mean look at some of the latest threads being posted. Palm Prints for kids lunchs & scanner to track kids at school. This isnt the same America I rememer & my parents relize their generation is prolly a big part of why our country is the way it is & the goverment being as big as it is. We pay insane taxes to support this Big Goverment & this nice lifestyle they live while everyday people scrounge on what we are going to do without to pay the light bill. Look at kids lunchs. I mean $4 is what my daughter for lunch. The goverment is suppose to cover half the cost of childrens lunchs. So a childs lunch is $8. I call BS I call that corruption at its lowest level & every branchof the goverment is corrupt. From The Federal to the State to the Local goverment & neither branch of those 3 cares about the people who are paying these new taxes they come up with to bring in money for whatever project they come up with & inflate the costs of the project to line their pockets. My Dad & Mom & I have talked about all this in great detail. All I can say is soon it will be every man for himself in this country & Chaos will ensue. Its just a matter of time. We cant afford this Goverment. But its to big & nobody will try & stand up to it & if they did. They will just end up dead. My idea for when I become a old man is to get as far away as possbile from people in general. Cause when shit does go down. Its gonna be ugly & the further away me & my family & children the safer we will be and stand a chance at surviving in this ugly world that is unfolding in front of our eyes as I type this.

He told you to do something about society, or contribute, I can think of two things RIGHT NOW that you can do, that do not require surgery that will satisfy both of those requests he made of you.
