that sucks man.
I hurt my back in collage at work, they declined my workman's comp, until I reminded them my boss told me he thought I was lying the day I hurt it. I told them I was about to call a lawyer. The workers comp lady said let me call you right back. No more than 5 minutes went by and she called back, "Congratulations your claim is approved.
Fucking Cock suckers. Good luck man.

I got a letter from someone (Texas Workforce/workers comp?) the other day telling me they could help me get back into a job. I broke my fing pinkie, and every bone in my elbow, in 2003, and was working where I am now. Really? 8 years later and hey we can help you. They missed the everybone in the elbow part for four months even though it was x rayed twice. I got passed around more then Juggs from doctor to doctor until the third one quit taking workers comp. My finger got three metal rods and I was in therapy for that but I could not straighten my arm and even my PT was like WTF. I then got a guy a little higher up on the ladder and he sent me out for a MRI and radial scan of my arm. Even the new doctor was like holy shit how did they miss that. Even though he came out and said if they would have caught it sooner they could have done more he wouldn't back it up on paper. The second doctor didn't even give a shit my arm wouldn't straighten. He gave me a shot of cortizone and said it would work itself out. Not a fan of workers comp doctors but the last guy was decent. He did open up my elbow, trim it up, and scrape out the little bone pieces.
I imagine there are so many bullshit workers comp claims that they get kinda jaded. But hell if my arm wont straighten past 45 degrees with someone hanging on it something is wrong.Whos your Daddy?

Do the best you can with what you have.

I tore the ligaments in my knee at work once and went to my own doctors and had surgery. Everything went smooth. that was about 8 years ago. about 3 months ago I got a call saying the hospital never received payment from workers comp somewhere in the 8k range. i asked them who it showed as party responsible and they said my works name so I told them good luck see ya!

And no. I never got my back fixed. That was the main reason I got into working out and martial arts. My own therapy for a screwed up back.
Good luck to you.

Hell another coworker of mine just got a 6 figure settlement by hurting his back while he lifted his own personal bag on the engine. The railroad was negligent because of the weight of all the rule books, paper work, and safety equipment he was required to carry while at work. Not to mention the drop off of the track where he was boarding the engine that caused him to over extend.
Sorry about the thread derail

A guy I work with had several doctors tell him he was basically a liar and that his hernias could not have occured at work. He finally got them fixed under workers comp but he was out a long time. It took him a while to fight them and get it done under workers comp.Whos your Daddy?
