No, they really wouldn't. Last time I tried calling in, a guy in a wheelchair was for some reason, lying on the side of the road spinning his chair wheels and looking up at the sky, they told me I wasn't in the county. Then I had to engage in a 20 minute discussion on maps and county lines and yes I'm sure I'm in the county.

What are police response times for citizen calls vs a call from another officer? Do they respond to both equally as quickly?

I wish. He was pretty cool about the whole "side of the road" thing but I didn't trust him not to have someone in the woodline to take the car with me there so I didn't get out. I had the kiddo with me so safety first.

you are assuming this campus police officer had a radio that wasn't just a talk around. hate to break it to most of you but campus police aint exactly run like a traditional police department. some dont have dispatch service and can only talk to each other. some only have one police officer on duty at a time. i would venture to guess response time if he were able to get through to an outside agency would be over 15 minutes. hell i have been in a fight on the side of 35 next to aac and put out an assist and it took my backup over 7 min to get to me. thats the middle of downtown dallas...

how do you know he had that stuff? have we seen picture of his duty belt? i dont carry a taser. ive had mace for 9+ years and have used it once and that was on a possum. a baton isnt something i would use at someone that is charging me. simply put the pistol was already in play because he was giving the guy commands with it. once its in play its hard to put back up while being rushed...

So you have something that should be deployed on an unarmed man before your pistol. I'm glad we covered that as that was my point. If he's to go directly to a pistol on an unarmed person, then take everything away, don't train anyone and just tell them to fire until you're sure the person is dead

You cannot argue with him. You may not know this but Frost is highly trained in anything badass. He was also Jason Bournes stunt double in all of the Bourne series'.

He thinks a cop should be able to assess a threatening situation in a split second and act professional, yet Mr. Bourne over here doesn't think he needs to assess situations period, when it involves someone putting a toe on his property.

apparently witnesses prior to the shooting saw the guy running around in his underwear telling everyone he was going on a spiritual journey. wonder if he met his god?

I doubt Eric would willingly engage in a fist fight with you, as he's a self proclaimed out of shape alcoholic parts store manager. I would also like to think that even though he's gotten under your skin (a ton) that you would take the high road and not break him into little pieces.
