So your training is so sophisticated that you can assess a rather stressful situation in a matter of seconds, but you can not asses if a situation on the corner of your property is a threat and would rather shoot?

Yes, anyone can do a threat assessment almost instantly. The property thing is I am paying for it, fuck off. If you're on it, you've climbed my fence and are a potential threat. It's really not as hard as you make it out to be.

You look at someone. Height, weight, clothing, possible locations to conceal weapons, gait and surroundings. Does this person pose a threat? If so, at what distance?

A person on my property may not be an immediate threat but may be doing recon for an event later.


Summary: A person walking across a parking lot, may not be an issue. A person IN your car, IS an issue.

So if you go outside and almost immediately see a naked guy charging at you, would you consider him wanting to thank you for your service or about to fuck some shit up? Or are you an Olympic runner too and you can run to safety grab something less lethal than a gun and handle the situation?

So you think someone unintentionally walking around on the corner of your property is a threat? Enough of a threat to bring a gun? Why not something less lethal like a tire iron or if you are so adamant about non-deadly force why not invest in a taser you could confront these unwanted civilians with in situations such as these? That is unless you are of the mindset of the cop and if you are greeted with a potential threat you would rather shoot first and protect yourself if something did go down.
