HOUSTON—Investigators say a burglar trying to break into a car at a gun range was shot by an armed customer.
When a man walking out of a shooting range saw a man trying to get into his car, he reportedly fired shots before the suspect took off in a getaway car. Bullets shattered the glass of the car and damaged the body.
Police say they captured the man walking down the Eastex Freeway a few minutes later, but the driver of the car is still at large.
About an hour after the shooting, a man showed up to an area hospital with a bullet wound to the side of his body, but no one was able to positively identify him as the second suspect and so the search continues
