Target @ Park & Tollway has packaged whole tenderloin for $3.14/lb plus a bonus $3 coupon is on the package. It's marked USDA Choice Angus. Maybe target near you has a similar deal...
They had about 12 left when I left last night, priced anywhere from $20-$30. Normally I don’t buy filet but at this price, I might go back for a second one.
I nicely butchered one down, vacuum packed away 7 steaks. Still have the chain and center roast left too.
I made two filets along with a bourbon cream sauce pan sauce. Fantastico.
