  • Honda EU2000i Generator

Anyone own one of these? Found a used one for sale & thinking of picking it up. Looking for something quite that I can use while at the ranch.

They are nice, but a rip off new, as in double competitors pricing. We dealt with them at Cummins because some fucking retard named Chad in consumer genset sales decided that Cummins needed to carry a small line after Onan said "no thanks" to an unprofitable segment.

It'll run SOME powertools, a few incandescent lights, a medium sized microwave, various other low wattage devices.....but its pretty small as generators go. I'd get something rated 3500 running watts or larger because in the event you ever need the larger capacity...its always there....but if you get something too small.....your shit outta luck. You can get cheap generators on Craigslist if you pay attention and have some patience. I picked up a 6000 running watt/7500 surge Coleman with a 12hp Briggs for 85 bucks 2 years ago that needed the carburetor cleaned. It runs great.

We have a couple of big generators that work great for the big jobs when we are out at the ranch. Need something that is small, light & most important quite. Just need it to power some regular lights & maybe a radio for when we have the pit on & drinking some cold beers.

The one I found is less than 1 year old in excellent condition. Comes with a external fuel tank for it all for $700.00.

They are very good generators, I've sold at least 10+ of them at my shop. Very light and really quiet. GL

That's not a bad deal. Verify it isn't the companion.

I bought mine new from Tractor supply for 900 and some change. I like it is super quiet until you load it up, once it draws over 1000 it gets fairly loud but barable.

As long as it isn't as loud as one of the big normal generators I should be ok.

                    Really?

Mine was always super quiet no matter what. I could sleep with it right next to my head outside the race trailer.

                      Yes to the OP.

I've had a EU1000 and 2000.. Dad has my 2000 now. Good, quiet, and reliable.
