1. Toll tag is free but they will have you deposit $40 into your toll account. If you set it up to hit a credit/debit card it will pull $40 when your balance gets down to $10 left in that account

2.no clue but if you have a toll tag I believe it hits your tag so you're good to go

3. Depends on how many toll booths you go thru. I think with a tag they are about .75 each

They've done away with toll booths, so Zip Cash is what they call it when you drive through without a toll tag. Cameras scan your plate, and they automatically send a bill to the registered owner.

Tolls are 50% higher when doing this, so if you drive the toll roads with any frequency, it's best to go ahead and get a toll tag.

I've got no idea, I had a toll tag for years before they went digital. I got stuck on a toll road when I lived in San Diego thanks to my GPS, and it took about a month to get the bill.

I don't live in the DFW, so I don't go through enough tolls to warrant having a tag. I didn't realize that they did away with booths. I kinda figured they would still have a limited amount of booths - like they do in Florida and Georgia.

Oh well - next time I'll pull my front plate and drop my tailgate before I get on the tollway.

I never saw a bill until they sent the late notice with all of the ridiculous surcharges, and we were watching for it.

I just forgot all about it and my tag hasn't come in the mail yet. I figured they would just charge me once they realized they had my info.....meh....who cares
