I'm not trying to collect dogs. I have one husky I have had for 9 years and that's enough for now.
About a month ago this stray coon hound showed up. Nice dog, good around kids. After about a week I took him to the pound. Two weeks later he is back. I call animal control and they said they will notify the owner where he is. Of course they won't tell me where the owner lives. The pound will not come get him because they say they do not go to the county and that I would have to call the sherrif. I am the only one who cares to keep him from starving. Most of the time all he does is run and run and run, swim in my stank pond, chase frogs, turtles, mice, snakes, skunks. The dog is having a great time. He seems to stay out of the road. Once he is on the scent of something though, he does not give up easy and will bark seems like forever. I'm starting to like the bastard, but I don't really want to lay claim to him. I might take him back to the pound.
Pros/cons of these breeds?
