Southwest would be a good alternative also but they don't fly everywhere and that includes Detroit unfortunatelyOriginally posted by Nash B.Damn, man. Sorry to hear that. If it'll cheer you up, Geor swallows. And even if it doesn't cheer you up, it cheers him up.

I agree the best thing we do in Detroit is get out as soon as we can, now northern Michigan is a completely different story and that's where we went.Men have become the tools of their tools.

On a recent flight we made to (and from) Seattle, at least half the other passengers had two carry on bags with the majority of 'em being larger than my checked baggage.
It f*ckin' insane what these people try to get away with, and the clueless gate attendants are not helping police the situation at all.
I hate flying anywhere these days.

I just flew Spirit a couple of months ago. You are allowed 1 free "personal item" that has to fit under the seat in front of you (they give you dimensions). My family of three flew to oregon and we only checked one bag, and packed a lot of stuff in our "personal items". If you get creative and pack only what you need you can avoid extensive fees. They even charge for peanuts and water on the damn flight, so we brought our own snacks and water (purchased after the security screening in the airport).
