  • 125cc Apollo Pit Bike - Anyone else bashing on a China bike?

I went and ordered a 125cc dirt bike from BestDiscountATVs.

I'm kind of surprised of the quality. It's a pit bike for bashing and messing around on, and it's great at that. I live in The Colony right next to the trails out here, so I just have to go through an alley to get out there. I'm 6'2 and 195lbs. My neighbor has a YZ250 I ride and this thing is still a blast to take out there.

Anyone here have a non-jap pit? Any problems with it? Anything I should know? It's been a blast so far.

go over all the really important bolts (axles, brakes, swing arm, handlebars, motor mounts, etc.) and locktite them and torque them properly. besides the frames made from recycled aluminum cans, the china bikes are known to have bolts back out religiously, often times leaving folks hurt.

probably wouldn't hurt to check the valve lash now that you have some hours on the motor as well and change the oil/clean the filter screen.

check EVERY bolt like has already been posted. I have a thump*//upc xsi-pro 125cc 4 stroke thats a beast, the power is amazing compared to a one of the knock off bikes.

i put a mikuni, rev box, and air filter on it and picked up a few MPH on the top end. thing will flip your ass over backwards shifting into 3rd if you're not easy on the clutch. fucking blast to ride. i've clocked it at 55mph with me on it.. (10" rear 12" front wheels)

Top left area. Accessible off Squires, or from Frisco: Lebanon to 4th Army Memorial Rd.

It's not public or anything, so go at your own risk. Colony side isn't posted no trespassing. I used to take my Jeep out there 5-6 years ago and never had problems. You can get to the edge of the lake going through there.

I bought my wife one of these in June

she has 100 miles on it and wants to sell it. 70mpg, it's black, not green.

They are cracking down on people going out there. A few guys who worked for me would go out there all the time. They recently started giving tickets for being there.
