That's what I was thinking, but I'm giving him the opportunity to rethink his monumental error in judgement. Or possibly I'm just taking what he said incorrectly.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Dont live out of your means would help. Car payments arent necessary, stop driving something that gets 15 mpg, buy/rent an affordable home.

I believe the five dollar a gallon mark "may have helped " the economy crash the first time. Let it stay at five for any amount of time and watch. Lots of people living on the edge to keep up with the neighbors and it doesn't take much. Plus every damn thing goes up when gas peaks.

Housing bubble burst, liquidity crisis, banking system failure, and contagion be damned - it was the gas.

So you don't think it had anything to do with it? You have to by gas to get to work and around, but you do not have to make your mortgage payment. I always figured people chose to keep driving and just said fuck it with their bills. Not to mention the price of groceries, elctricity, went thru the roof. I could be wrong it would not be the first time. I just figured it played a role in it for all the people just barely getting along. Domino effect?

Compare "so you don't think it had anything to so with it" with your post I quoted stating "five dollar a gallon is what crashed the economy the first time". Hardly the same thing.

Your talking to the KING of No Car Payments or any payments for that matter. I own all my cars & my land & everything on it! My inlaws wonder why they are broke. I tell them. Your driving all that extra money every month. Thats why your broke!

I just hate that when gas goes up. So does food & everything else! You dont just feel pain at the pump! You feel it in every part of your everyday life
