it's all in the tranny.. use 4 or 5 or 6 gears.. keep them tight

i run a 3.50 rear on the turbo car just to slow the shifts down some, also why i tightened the converter up.

also i dunno the difference other than looks, but i think i picked up some MPH going to the $1500 wing vs. the $500 wing.. and if you dont have a wing.. get one..

I have the mountain block now. 6 gears, all tight, but I cross in fifth @ 7400 or so. 4.30 rear gear. Just now running 9.05ish. Trapping 153

The weight on this GN must be a bitch. I've got those same mods, running 9.6 with an occasional 9.5x

If you already have the mountain motor and fuel injection, don't waste your time with the 1200hp crate motor.

It's slower and the parts that you bought are taken away so you have to buy them again.

EDIT: It blows at 7200rpm as well. I can't believe I'm not allowed back to my previous parts.

I went from no wing to a wing, and got it down to 8.7. I don't have a cage or chassis, stock brakes, and no additional power adder. Is there any way to get gold coins without buying them?

1.5 is my best IIRC. My reaction times are solid. Since adding the wing I've had to start using sixth, and I'm crossing the traps at 7500 or so in 6th. 156-160 is my mph through the traps.

I still thought this thing would be faster than it is by now.

My 60' is 1.43 and I'm trapping 170mph in 6th around 7600rpms.

i can only do that in test and tune where i can build full boost.. usual reaction time is 12-13 seconds but hell that's what they were doing at Drag Week!

It's not as good as naynay's, but I just got this slip in a heads up race.

Left lane. Reaction time and 60' are my best yet for heads up. My time and mph may be as well.

Tube chassis was a waste of money too. I went faster with the roll cage.

It might come in handy if spent actual money on a power adder.
