I paid for it...Im not sure on your thought process. I paid for the nailer, and apparently an airhose that comes with it. Home Depot received $113 or so. So when I take the airhose back (that was paid for WITH the nailer) I receive money (store credit) back, lowering the purchase price to $$83. So, still not following you. The only reason Im sitting really well on the price is because I used $50 in mastercard points, bought a $50 giftcard for $25 from Mastercard. Both legal. Mastercard paid the difference.Last edited by 8mpg; 12-30-2010, 11:50 AM.

So if those air hoses were given to the retailer as part of a promo, and they had no "cost", then they gave them to you, would it then be stealing? You were given the air hose free because of your purchase. Free is not good enough however.
And re-read your post about the pans.

Makes more sense?
And the airhose was probably part of the nailer kit. There aint nothing free in life. Home Depot didnt call me and say they are going to ship me an airhose out of kindness for free.. I paid for a Dewalt product and the hose came with it.Last edited by 8mpg; 12-30-2010, 11:57 AM.

Does that look right?
So buy returning the 30$ value air hose for 30$, you get the thing for 83$? Am I seeing this correctly?
$83 for nailer and air hose
$33 shipping
But yep...going to return the air hose.

Places like CVS will refund you 100% of the purchase price even if you used a coupon. I have seen people buy a $30 electric razor, use $20 in coupons on it, and return it for $30. I dont do that stuff.
Like I said...as far as Im concerned, I paid for the air hose as part of the nailer. For the original price, it should come with an airhose, they charge $300 for the thing. Besides, these nailers are old back stock that had a recall on them...they didnt tell me that. Its a 2008 nailer. Is that fair?

I will give you the benefit of the doubt, though, and say that it is sort of a gray-area...."We, the people, are the rightful masters of both congress and the courts - not to overthrow the constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the constitution." Abraham Lincoln

How is it a gray area? You purchase one item for 20$ on a BOGO Free promotion, you now have 40$ of their product for 20$.
You take one of the items back for 20$. You now have 20$ of their product for 0$. You have just stolen that item.
The principle is theft. Is them giving their own stuff away okay? Hell yes. Is someone working the system to get stuff for free okay? Not one fucking bit.
