Mine was a bad diet + constant dehydration.

Try some of the homeopathic remedies, i've read mixed but promising results by people using stuff like lemon juice (i think) to help break down the stone. Once you pass one and catch it in that little screen thing, they can biopsy it and let you know what it is and how to prevent it. Mine were calcium oxcelate IIRC

My verdict was tomatoes (fresh only) and heredity. I don't recall any tomatoes lately and I'm pretty sure the doc who did my testing was a tad goofy.

I have had 20+ bouts with them since I was 17. Citric acid helps prevent and busts them up(somewhat). I triple up on a cranberry supplement daily as well.

I've had good results taking Hydrangea. You can get it at health food stores. It helps to flush your kidneys, and I've heard it has a tendency to break up calcium deposits in the body (bone spurs, kidney stones) I took it when I had my stone and ended up only passing pieces of it, instead of the whole thing.

I had one when we were working 16 hour days for over a month solid. I was drinking energy drinks like water and no water to speak of. Learned my lesson after a ride in the back of an Ambulance when I keeled over at work. They thought at first my appendix was going to burst cause of the side the pain was on.

20?! You win! This is around 7-8 and mine started at 14 and I'm 23 now.

I'd go eat my neighbor's flowers right about now if it'd help. I'll go out tomorrow and see what I can find. I've done cranberry juice and lemon juice (yuck) and I'm still not in a "happy place."

Sodas, energy drinks and I believe milk in large amounts will do you in pretty well. I was narrowed down to tomatoes and red meat. It supposedly turned out to be tomatoes and if I eat a few bites in a salad due to lack of attention my kidney will have a dull achy/sore feeling for a few hours.

It's mostly acidic stuff that causes them. Red meat, coffee, sodas, energy drinks, alcohol, etc. I doubt I will ever get stones because for some reason my body runs stupidly alkaline.

Mine felt like a 3 inch knife stuck in my back that was constantly working back and forth. When it came out it felt like a wire brush shooting out. Oxy's are your friend!!! Until they shut down your guts and constipated you..... That was 5 days of he'll!!!

I get that too if I haven't been drinking enough water. I immediately go buy a gallon jug of water and sit there and drink the whole thing.

Mix half a cup of virgin olive oil with half a cup of apple juice and down it. It will pass within 24hrs. I have done this several times. I have had one every other year since I was 20

If you find them, take 3 pills 3 times a day. Drink a LOT of water. It is going to flush and cleanse your urinary tract. I do this same regimen EVERY time I get the slightest pain in my kidneys. So far, I have had only the one kidney stone.
