    god bless.
My truck is currently in the shop, and the front seats and box are in it. I will snap some pics of the shit job Herman did and post them here before I redo them.

I do have a couple of pics of the work I did yesterday on the rear seats, but I can't figure out how to post them.

You can email them to me, and I can post. Or post them on facebook, and I'll post them here.

It's time I learned how to post pics myself. I tried using the "manage attachments" thing, but it tells me they are way too big.

        Is there a better way?

The best way to not have to worry about resizing and shit, is to...

          1. Create account on photobucket/imgur/other photo hosting site
          2. Upload pics
          3. Make folder public.
          4. Right click image, and post the IMG code in a reply to this thread.

A little work up front, but in the future, you'll just upload there, copy img tag, post.

That looks damn good, want to try to do seats from a 68 Cougar?

Keep me posted on how they hold up to wear over the next month or so. Their pricing is pretty good, and cheaper than the take offs I've been looking at. My biggest battle right now is that the take offs are heated/cooled. I've got to justify if the heated/cooled option is worth the $600 price difference.

I'd have to charge more than an upholstery shop.

They didn't come with any kind of instructions, and the closest video I could find on Youtube was for an F-150. The guy making that video said "this is a lot harder than it looks", and that's no lie.

That shit took me all day yesterday, and my fingers hurt like hell now. Luckily the fronts should be a lot easier.

Yeah, I bet that's tough. I will need to find a shop that can cut new foam, as mine is rotting away and no one makes foam for a Cougar, only for Mustangs.

The quality of these is spectacular. I have no doubt they will hold up better than the factory leather. The factory stuff has extra material on the backside of the leather, and reinforced seams. This stuff has the same, only it's thicker material, more cushion to it, and the seams are even more reinforced. These also use zippers where the factory ones all used the plastic clamps. I think/hope the zipper is going to hold up better.

I paid $699 for the set, and it has the same amount of leather surface as the factory leather - the entire seating are of the front and the inserts in the rear. Vinyl on the sides. You can pay extra for more leather for the rears, or even 100% leather on all surfaces. Since my dog rides in the back seat, I didn't care to upgrade to more leather back there.

You can also get heated and cooled options with these, but I already have heated seats, and that's good enough.

                          That's a bummer.

I have some upholstery foam for another project, and cutting it is a pain in the butt. There is obviously some special technique and/or tool used for carving it into a precise shape.

+1. Ill trade it in before I recover my seats.

Cougar seats are a little thicker.
