I didn't try the dolly. I had to remove my front bumper cover on the uhaul full car trailer, but not until after I smacked into the trailer after no less than 5 of my buddies said it was going to clear

I just realized I'm surrounded by idiots. siiigh

Anyways - My GT is lowered on eibach sportlines with isulators still installed, front tires are probably at least as tall as stock, rears are 26.5 tall.

To add, the u-haul stuff looks like crap - but they have stuff that works well and is built well. Assuming some level of maintenance was done through the trailer's lifetime.

My Miata-motored Festiva was not only sight-unseen (aside from pics) but had a broken transmission. BERNIE MOSFET and I drove 370 miles to Miami, OK at 5am on a Sunday morning with a spare trans, the car looked good so I paid him for it and swapped the trans out in the guys garage. I drove it home and showed up to work the next day.

              Put it on a train...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

Rent a car to drive up, leave it at the local enterprise or whatever, drive new car back. Cheapest option. If the car breaks, then you get it towed, and you're only out the $15 for the car rental.

This, one of my favorite trips was to pick up my R/T dakota. Bought sight unseen flew down to Tampa and drove it home.

Reserve trailer at nearest U-haul where he lives, drive up and make sure it's not a piece of shit, go get trailer, pick up some 2x4s at home depot if the car is low, and tow the car home. Or if the pics look good enough just drive up in the rental.

I agree that flying there and driving it back is very cool, but if it breaks down on the way home you could be screwed and end up spending more cash to get it back. If you think there a really good chance you're going to get it, I would drive out there and look at it, and if you decide to buy it, go to the closest U-Haul and rent a trailer to bring it home.

Those Miata 1.8 motors are pretty stout and readily accept boost. I'd call that a pretty good upgrade.
