Kombucha tea

I picked some up on the recommendation of the store employee. I'm a little freaked out at the stuff sitting on the bottom of the container though.

It says that strands of the culture may appear. These are natural, normal & only occur in raw kombucha.

I called the store and they said its fine to drink. I've seen worse settling in muscle milk RTD and yoo-hoo so my worries are gone now.

I read about it once and it sounds just nasty. People sell the culture so you can start another batch. Kinda like bread starter that people pass to friends.

I'll be 31 in March, so I'm already old. After the past year I figure its time I start to take better care of myself. And its a drink I can tolerate and has proven health benefits. I'm not sure about the preparing it myself though. I have a strawberry blend and even then its strong. Guess I'll have to pick up a bottle of the plain kombucha and see if its something I would consider making myself.
