  • never thought i'd say this...

But i'm leaving Texas. Life, that thing that happens while you're making plans, happened to me a couple of years ago. Not a permanant relocation, just TDY for the next couple of years in Whodathunkit Mn. Summers are great, & the car scene is alive & well. For 4 months of the year... 4 degree highs, snow from October to April doesn't particularly thrill me, but i know how i'm going to stay warm... and that does .

4 degree highs my ass. try 0 with the wind blowing 30.

The summers up north kick ass, the winters not so much. You have to find a winter time hobby. Blowing/scooping snow was one of my least favorite hobbies.

Motherfucker, it would cost you 2 tanks of gas to get your happy ass up here.

i've been promised a new snowblower. Thing that makes me nervous is the "rake" to remove snow off the roof.

A round trip of 500 miles is going to cost you 4 tanks of gas? That Jeep come with a 6 gallon gas tank or something?

It is hardly ever 4 months. And get ready for everything to rust. Also, depending on where in MN, you may be way high on the low temps. Good luck, and start buying thermals.

                          14 miles a gallon sucks

i can do just the trip in about 3 tanks.....one more tank for driving around town.
