The problem for me is that my mom's family came over from Italy 110 years ago, so I was raised on authentic Italian food. I've never found "real" Italian food, and the only thing I've ever eaten at Olive Garden was the salad, bread, and minestrone. Even so, on our visit last week, even the salad and bread were a disappointment.

That's what the usual when I used to eat there but even this time it was bad. The bread wasn't seasoned and the salad was dressed with some weak ass dressing that had no flavor. I really wish I knew what happened to that carinos in mesquite.

My guess is they priced themselves out from that area. I wouldn't say they are crazy expensive, but I would say that Carino's is on the high side now since they re-did their menu for what they are.

I have only had a couple of dishes there that sucked. I usually order eggplant parm, it's pretty good, not much for the pasta that comes with it.

Oh and I ate at Carinos yesterday, bacon Mac and cheese! Mother fucking BACON MAC AND CHEESE!

Can't even get decent food - right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got egg noodles and ketchup.

I used to wait tables at the OG about 10 years ago and the food was pretty good back then, I was also 19 and would eat anything. They have changed the menu a lot since then and most of the new stuff is crap. Even the things that are still on the menu have declined in quality

Buca Di Peppo(sp?) is awesome italian food. Don't care for Olive Garden. Carino's is ok, Macaroni Grill is ok. Palios is pretty good. Campisis is ok

all I eat there is Pizza... we used to go to a little hole in the wall Italian place when I was a kid. I enjoy Italian, but it's not really my go-to. It's been years since I've gone out for Italian food

I remember when I was a kid, OG was considered a pretty nice joint. Today, not so much.
