Sounds like something that is not very well thought out. Or I'm a moron because I don't see the advantages.

Why would i want milk in a container that can't be re-sealed?

It's Canada. A lot of things make no sense there.

Hmm from the wiki article there don't seem to be any advantages short of initial production costs for the producer.

Probably something derived from the French.

many, many moons ago, our school district switched from our traditional small box of milk to these bags. Shit lasted a few weeks. It just didnt feel right.

Not right at all. How would you set it down between drinks? The savings can't be that significant...

One of lifes small pleasures is milk from a supercold glass pitcher. I can see transferring the milk from the bag into a reusable bottle/pitchers that can be capped.

Seems to be a sensitive method of shipment though.

But lets not cry over spilled milk

It would just lay flat. It got hot quick too. I remember it would always be frozen because the fridge at our school cafeteria would sometimes freeze the box milk but always freeze the bag milk. It ruined my life!

The economy will do that anyway. Fuck Jimmy Carter for powdered milk.
