  • Great deal on oil changes. You can't do it yourself this cheap!

    $33 for 3 oil changes

I've used this livingsocial deal before and buy it a few times a year so I never pay full price for oil changes. They have locations all over the metroplex and you can buy it for the one that's closest to you. I highly recommend it.

Plus, you get free tire rotations, A/C checks and more. Thought I'd share.

No way. I can get free oil changes and I still do them myself. I bet they would use some horrible house brand oil probably in 10/30 and a sub standard oil filter.

    Thanks though

Most new vehicles have built in oil monitoring systems. Aside from that, new oil is new oil. That said, do me a favor and post a link to some valid source that says "house oils suck".

The post is a good one. If you choose to take advantage, fine. If you prefer sounding like an asshole, post again.

Wish that would work for the '12. My oil changes cost $100 (8 qts, full synthetic).

They will allow you to pay the difference to get synthetic or diesel changes. They will use whatever brand you want, you just may have to pay an upgrade fee. Like I said, I get this almost every time they come up and I've always had a choice at which oil I get and I've never had any issues. It's just like going to Jiffy Lube and telling them what you want. You're not treated differently.

I change the oil in my '11 F150 (5.0L) and it runs $5 for a Motorcraft filter, and about $37.50 for about 8 qts of Mobil1.

If you want to, you can pay me $100 and I'll do the changes for you

I wouldn't have someone change my oil if they did it free.

Your car not mine. I prefer oil high quality oils in my vehicle. Oil is cheap insurance. People buy expensive cars just to save 10-20 bucks twice a year on shity oil. Store brand oil may not have the same additives that higher quality oil does have. Just because it's sae rated doesn't mean you can take it out to 6-10k mile oil change intervals do to the different additives and cleaning properties of the oil. Your oil change monitor has no idea if you're running 05-30 or 80w gear oil.

I also wasn't being an asshole and didn't mean to sound like one. Just stating this deal wasn't for me.

The car in my avatar is a 68 GTO Alan Jackson's old personal car. It's not mine btw.

I can't vouch for any of the other places listed, but I do know Tilden is using recycled oil on deals like this and their usual $20 special.
