I think the law is bs, but after having my leg tore open by one mounted to a bumper I damn sure am not gonna just throw it up on my dash to see what happens from it in a wreck.

never been stopped in my car about it. my dad also drives around in a termi and he has some custom made bracket that slips on so he didnt have to drill into the bumper.

I never had one on the Saleen and I drove in Valley Ranch in it for 2 years with no issues. But when I took a shortcut off of 635 and I35 where people used to race, there was a Dallas cop and she gave me a ticket for it. She said it was a "no tolerance area for racing". I paid the fine and never put a plate on the front.

Those are great! I remember back when he was in the design phase on them.
"Treadhead" either has those or something a lot like them on his 2011, I think.

My all original paint '92 LX has never had the front bumper drilled and I do not display a front plate. Its just a weekend car that gets driven 1-2k miles a year. I haven't ran front plates on any of my Mustangs over the past 13 years and have only received a warning once.

I do have front plates on my wife's Mercedes and my daily driven Acura because the bumpers were already drilled.

Seems like cops only bring up the front plate if they are already getting you for something else (speeding, stickers out, light out, etc).

Because the lambo fits in in Valley Ranch, your 99 GT sticks out like a sore thumb, lol.

<--- Also in Valley Ranch if you see me in my 91 vert throw me a rev or two.

I haven't ever had one on my any or my cars and I've had a mustang of one type or another for the last 16 years. I have had to pay $90 for it once but I consider that a convenience fee for not putting it on.

I don't have one on the neon because it looks goofy, and I don't really have a place to mount it that doesn't block the intercooler or radiator.

Always have and always will. The front plate doesnt bother me and Im not going to give the po-po an easy excuse to pull me over.

Most times they just use that as a tool to pull you over and find other things to get you on at that point.

<--- Hasn't had a front plate on a vehicle since 1988. Only 1 ticket, but I forgot to pay it and eventually got arrested for it. It was worth it in my book for having so many years without an issue.

It's not the front plate that makes the Neon look goofy. Jus' sayin'. :-)
