So he wants kid 2, but not kid 1? Sounds to me like he is completely money motivated, and hopefully court proceedings will show his hand, and he'll end up owing even more money.
I hate them, but condoms are far cheaper than an "oops," much less two of them. Hell, at this point he's in the hole for what multiple vasectomies would cost. That's not including the cost of emotional damage done to the kids.
