Someone was going to miss the test in one of their classes?"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

The all clear has been given at the University of Texas at Austin after all buildings on campus were evacuated Friday morning following a phone call that said several bombs had been planted on the 350-acre campus.
The entire campus of the University of Texas at Austin is being evacuated due to a bomb threat.
The university posted this message to their website and Twitter shortly before 10 a.m.
"Evacuation due to threats on campus. Immediately evacuate ALL buildings and get as far away as possible. More information to come."
NBC News has learned the university received a call at about 8:35 a.m. from a man with a middle eastern accent who claimed he was with Al Qaeda and that he had placed bombs in multiple buildings that would go off in 90 minutes.
President William Powers was notified and it was decided to evacuate all of the buildings out of an abundance of caution.
We have no other information at this time.

another campus being evacuated.
Updated: September 14, 2012 11:16AM
Valparaiso University has posted a campus alert about potential danger during chapel break period, which happens at 11:15 Friday.
The alert, posted early Friday, says “an unspecific threat to campus was made through a graffiti message alluding to dangerous and criminal activity alleged to be carried out during the chapel break period on Friday.
“The broad threat provided no details with respect to location or type. Please be on alert and report any suspicious activity to VUPD immediately by calling 911 or 464-5430.”
VUPD, local authorizes and the FBI investigated the threat and a thorough human and canine search of campus did not find anything suspicious, a later release said.
Additional security measures have been implemented, and authorities continue their investigation.
Classes remain in session and all regular activities remain scheduled.
