It's raining down here today/tomorrow. Take the kid to the Capitol
Go to the Bob Bullock Texas History museum on 19th, that's fun for all ages
Go to the Hula Hut for an early dinner. The lake will be chill, serene today. Afterwards, go down below the dam to the Red Bud Isle dog park & walk around. Dog shit smell should be minimal, all washed in to the lake; beauty is on tap.
Go hang out on the John Pfluger pedestrian bridge for sunset (adjacent to S. Lamar), or the Congress Ave bridge if the bats are flying at dusk. If the clouds part, we'll get an awesome sunset. If not, it's still an interesting place to be.
Get your drinks on the west side of 6th street, west of Congress. E. 6th is now "dirty 6th", a sure bet if you're out after midnight & looking for trouble. You'll find it there.Ronald Reagan:"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

There's a little garage on Monroe, just west of S. 1st (Monroe runs all the way to S. Congress), and it has a small sign on it advertising itself as the hotrod museum, or something. Some SICK customs in there. Drive over & knock on the door, if the gate is open, see what's in there.
Also, you can swing by Austin Speed Shop, there are impromtu gatherings in the parking lot on occasion, from what I gather.Ronald Reagan:"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. Ok, I think we've established that some people think Salt Lick is phenomenal and some think it's average.Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.
