How hard is cnc mill and lathe machine operations?

Dude machining of any sort if you have never done it before has a huge fucking learning curve. I love this shit and machine on a daily basis at my work. I have also designed and built 2 cnc routers and design, program, and run the software to use them. I use 2 huge horizontal and vertical cnc mills at my work along with a rather large manual lathe that would kill me or rip my arm, leg, or head off if I got caught up in it. Not that any of that matters but I am just saying that I have credentials and I would not take it lightly. Crash a big machine one time and you will be scared of it for a month.

these people saying go for it must not have any real experience with a real machine to tell a noob to jump in
