I am still sick after watching this, and this is just part of the video before the blood begins where it gets graphic and they cut the footage. This story is disturbing on multiple levels.
This is my husband's cousin and my friend, JR, who recently started work driving a taxi down in Surf City, NC.
Last night a Marine (a decorated combat veteran, and Gunnery Sgt), got into JR's van after leaving a club. He apparently became angry because JR had said because of the large volume of calls, they could split the fare if they waited for one more person going in the same direction. The guy literally goes apeshit.
This also tells the whole story:
They cut the video off before the blood starts, what you don't get to see is the part where the guy leaves, then comes BACK. The marine then proceeds to beat JR even further. When he finishes hitting him for the second time, he tells JR to get down and find the hat he lost in the van somewhere during his outburst or else he would kill him. He then looks at the camera and says that JR assaulted him.
JR is such a good guy, hard working, great sense of humor, he can always brighten your day. He was even in the middle of telling the guy he would split the fare with him when he started going ballistic. Just breaks my heart.
They could use some well wishes and prayers, he has a long road ahead of him, he will find out if he needs surgery tomorrow to fix the fractures around his eye. There is a warrant out for this guy's arrest, and I would love for the video to go viral so everyone knows what a total POS this guy is.
Any prayers or well wishes for JR would be much appreciated. I am just at such a loss, my stomach flips every time I think about it.
