    many moons ago, I use to to be a claims adjustor for First Extended Service Corp here locally and can recall when an owner was about to be declined for lack of maint records, all of the sudden they were able to produce some generic receipt that showed an oil change by some shade tree mechanic, then they would get it notorized and we had to accept it. Not sure if that tactic would still work but just FYI...

      See, I understand that maintenance is required and should be a enforced for warranty purposes.

      At the same time, if a oil pump croaks for just being over 800 miles on an oil change - that's flat bullshit.

        My truck is every 5k, i could no imagine waiting 10-15k before changing the oil. Thst is just too long

          Im still old school and change it every 3k. I dont put but 6-7k on a car a year. So its not a big deal.

            Same here, I still change every 3k to 4k at the most, just rather be safe than sorry and oil is cheap anyway.
