Friend an his wife bought a used lincoln aviator, the engine blew, they ha an extended warranty so they were not worried. Come to find out,oil pump went out. They were 800 mlies over their oil change, they refuse to warranty the engine. This is a a ford dealer

When I have one under warranty it ALWAYS goes to the dealer for oil changes. And I never go over on mileage. YES its added expenses, but they will stick it to you in a heart beat if they can. See my latest post on the stripped oil pan plug...
Had a 97 Chevy truck all work done under warranty including transmission service. Warranty was out by less than 1000 miles and the trans took a dump. Wouldn't even help a bit...The 4l60's had a bad run in the late 90's and they knew it. Most went right around the warranty...
Bottom line if you can't PROVE it was serviced at the proper mileage by a CERTIFIED technician, your most likely screwed
