  • Broke my phone. :(

Dropped it a couple of days ago and cracked the screen on my thunderbolt. Now all of a sudden, I have no cell service at all. it shows I have a signal, but won't make any calls, txt's, etc. I JUST cancelled my insurance on it a month ago.

So I guess I'll be buying a new phone, but I'm going to part from Verizon in the process. Can't decide between AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. I travel between DFW and Little Rock every week, and Little Rock kinda sucks as far as T-mobile goes... but I kinda liked the idea of their unlimited plan.

    *sigh*

Any reason for leaving Verizon? Of the big four, they've had the best coverage and quality of service for me.

My work phone is Verizon... just seems kinda pointless to me to have 2 verizon phones if that makes any sense.

I'm leaning more towards Sprint for their unlimited data plan... If I renew with Verizon, I will lose my current unlimited data plan. I tether my Nexus 7 pretty much all day, so I don't want to have to worry about my limits. AT&T would be nice because all of my family and friends are with AT&T, but they don't offer unlimited data.

Shitty timing too... I was hoping to see what the iPhone 5 looked like if they roll it out this year. Guess now I'm stuck going with either the iPhone 4S, or the SGS3. Just need to decide which network.

My advice would be to buy another thunderbolt for $100 on craigslist (something you can sell for the same price later), and wait for the iphone5 if you genuinely want it.

Although i don't like what the rumors would be about it. I can understand the need to maintain unlimited tethering. WIth that in mind, i'd tell you to get the gs3 on Sprint. It's the only unlimited/lte combo you're going to find.

Yea I'm browsing their plans now. SGS3 still a pretty good phone? Any issues with tethering with it? I heard something about apple suing Samsung over the S3... any concerns? Better than the Nexus?

Nope. Solid phone. Extremely large support community.

None that will affect the end user or phone market of accessories. Just samsung having to shell out some cash if they lose their appeal.

Yes and no. Hardware is better. Support/modability favors the nexus with it's pure google experience.

Owning a nexus, and playing with the gs3, i'd say grab the gs3.

Since we're talking Sprint here more than likely, i don't know how well their lte network is doing in dallas. Sprint signal at my office is a dead spot.

It's a BEAST, but wait a lil while longer, the Note 2 will be dropping soon and it'll throw the GS3 to the curb.

is that note 2 any smaller? i held the first one and it was big in my hands, and i wear a xxl glove size lol

well i am ready for an upgrade but trying to figure out which route to go. the cheapest route would be to pick up a used 4s or gs3 when the new iphone/note comes out

either one will be better than my current iphone 4

While the screen will be a touch larger(5.3"-5.55"), it will be a 16:9 aspect ratio vs 16:10 of the original Note, thus making it slightly narrower and easier to operate one handed. The specs for it a incredible as well.

Actually, through the weekend Verizon is offering a free Thunderbolt with no contract... you might want to check it out!
