    This is exactly what I am looking at doing. Plan on throwing all my extra money at my mortgage to pay it off in 10 years or less if possible. I'm 33 & would love to be completly debt free by my early 40's.

        With a sub- 5% hurdle rate I'm not prepaying shit and extending it as far as I possibly can. Of course, I'm the guy with enough liquid/semi- liquid assets to pay off my student loan balance 4x over and am not doing it; what the hell do I know.

          On a side note I just paid for my appraisal today. Closing cost are going to cost me $3,400 and I should break even in 11 months. Not bad at all.
