LMAO why'd you have to ruin it. The best part was when I mentioned we disconnected the odometer and then he post the carfax saying it had an odometer fraud alert on it.
I don't see how, in 96-97 the 4.6 made the same amount of power as the 5.0 did in the previous years.
The 98 GT's got a very small hp bump and I'm on my 2nd Sn95 now and I've yet to run into an issue with the mod motor.

It's harder to reliably make power on the 4.6 than it was on the 5.0.
Okay okay screw you guys, I am going to figure out why the hell it showed up like that on the Carfax.
I've read dealerships have done this by not giving correct information because they simply didn't remember the odometer reading correctly or just forgot so they figure they'll just make up a number and it will be alright. I learned that when I worked at Grand Prairie Ford that to fix that on a history report on a car is like $500

Why even mention stock horsepower ratings? Are you building a period correct 98 GT? Are you making it Concours?

Many people do not like mod motors at all, especially the early non-pi. I wouldn't mind one as long as it had the PI swap done.
I would also want a cobra front bumper (if not a cobra to begin with).
I will probably buy one eventually. Lowered, Cobra front bumper, 18" wheels (10" wide in back), and that would be it for the appearance. If 4.6 then PI swap, or just a blower if 5.0. Would be a fun cruiser.
Almost identical. Thunder does phenomenal body work. You're in good hands. If anyone can weld together 3 totaled mustangs to make one running car, it's those guys. Oh, welcome to our board!

Well see I initially wanted to get back into a Sn because I love how they look and how they sound. My plans from the beginning were not to make a fast car, granted I love a quick car but this time I'm going for something that has more stance to it. I'm still working on a list of things I plan to do to this car. I'll end up doing a PI Swap in the near future, dumped exhaust, S197 driver and passenger seat, maybe spoiler delete. I've got a few ideas but going fast is on the bottom of my list.

swap the PI upper end with long tubes onto the 98 short block and make 260whp.
