  • The New 5.0

My gf is looking at the new 5.0s. She is wanting an automatic. She is really liking the huggar blue.. I see a lot of people buying there cars from skip. What would be the difference in cost be compared to a base model 5.0 to the deluxe model. She is going to keep her other car that we have that's a suv, due to us having a 2 year old. This will also be the first car she has financed. So I'm thinking that will play a factor in all of this. I just want her to get something she really likes, and that will still hold value 2 years down the road.

There's deep impact and grabber blue. online prices for a base manual is just under 30k with rebates etc, mid 30's for premium w/manual. One good thing, LOTS of auto GT's around.

Grapevine Ford shows about 9 5.0 auto mastics, at least online.

If you're worried about value in 2 years, don't buy brand new. Let somebody else lose the new car value for you (thousands). Buy a super low mileage 12, or 13, when they start popping up.

These cars are holding their value very well. Hell I traded in my 09 GT with 45k miles on my 12GT and they gave me 20k, it was two years old and I paid 27K

Yeah, I found the same thing with these new 5.0's when I finally decided to pull the trigger. I started out looking at used 11-12's, but quickly realized that all the used ones out there were damned near as much as the brand new 13's....some were actually asking more with 5K-10K miles than I ended up paying for a 13' with the options I wanted, and mine only had 16 miles on it.
