Mazda 3.7 similarities to Ford mustang/f150 3.7??

Just picked up a new Mazda CX9 with the 3.7 in it. Pretty nice ride, and I'm wondering how similar the motors are between mazda and ford. Will any of the ford parts bolt up?

For what it's worth, my wife has a '12 Mazda 6 with that 3.7 A6, and it's a little pocket-rocket.

I would guess the engine management is different as most car companies share hardware to different extents but don't typically share software programming.
