If you're going to get rid of it before that point, I say get whatever you like but the EcoBoost will probably have a better resale.

I've already seen some really mild combos run mid-11s in the 5.0 trucks though...
Well, I just picked up an eb, so I hope it doesn't have any crazy issues...I guess time will tell. It's a decently powerful truck, by the way...I'm impressed with it.

        5.0
Doesnt sound like shit (sounds really good stock)
No intercooler condensation problems (Ford still cant fix it)
Looks beast under the hood with the Boss 302 intake manifold.

The new 5.0s are fucking awesome.

That is the one really awesome thing about the 5.0. The sound is a truly beautiful thing to listen to.

Lol, tell that to the 5.0 GT owners

There is more than just great sound out of the coyote in the F-150
Gets 1 mpg less than the so called "eco" engine Ford is pushing so hard.
Makes 500 rwhp with 5-6 psi of boost
Loves to rev after a tune and rpm increase point.
You can get it in a regular cab short bed

A joke of a truck now days, its not even competitive anymore. The 6.2 is nice, but the rest of the truck is dated.

Look into the heart throb kit. Thats what our ecoboost truck has and it sounds killer, plus it picked up some power. We put the SCT tuner on it as well. It now shifts 100% better. Thinking about taking off theecoboost emblems. It would probably look cleaner? Also added the intercooler grille so that rocks and stuff do not damage the grill. $40 on ebay, made in the USA and powdercoated!

Driving back from southern Illinois yesterday and today. With dry roads and little wind, I started getting 22.8mpg at 65mph. After leaving Illinois, I sped up to 70mph and mileage came down to 20.6. Today I'm driving between 75 and 80mph and my mileage has dropped to 18.4 on fairly hilly roads in Arkansas.

That almost looks exactly like my 5.0L!
